Blacktongue; A mage of no small power who can manipulate the souls of the living, and some believe, the dead. The word evokes disgust in the mind of Dernlash Ritehand, a wizard of the Mage’s Collective whose professional life has been tied down with accusations of dark intentions. The elden’s history of negligence hasn’t done much to sate the fears of his superiors. Always, though, he’d searched for his answers, determined in spite of every other wizard’s misconceptions. They’d call him blacktongue, but he’d know the truth. Even if it killed him, he’d know. In an old library he wasn’t meant to be in, Dernlash fond a hint that could bring him his truths on a floating platter. Saltiefang, the city of thieves, rogues, and outlaws, was his best chance since his century old search had begun. He’d go there, to that barren, foggy legend of a place on the sea. At long last, all would know the truth of who he was. Nothing could keep him from his goal; not the Collective, not some criminal and certainly not the Demon of Saltiefang.
