Dark Ascension

Having found an ancient summoning ritual, Nick makes a deal with a demon, ending up costing him more than he could bear. With his soul earmarked for Hell, he grows increasingly numb, traveling the world, until he finds her as he comes back home. Trying to enjoy his wealth, all he finds is emptiness inside, only to discover that she too made a deal. While trying to find a way to restore their souls to themselves, Nick must sacrifice it all, only able to save hers. Ending up in Hell after all, he finds himself being broken into becoming a demon, caring about nothing, yet having held on to his love for her. Trying to contact her again proves difficult, as for him many years have passed in Hell, but for her only months have gone by, and he is no longer human.God and the Devil have long gone from the Earth, with no ruler in Hell, and the old gods wanting to reclaim what was taken from them, putting Nick right in the middle of an ancient war that had lain dormant for centuries. His motive: Sandra, but the enemy finds out, taking her captive, demanding for Nick to stand down, though that does not have the result they expected
