Spirit's Storm

Ever since she was a child, Serena Danwald had always had a strange relationship with Lemburg house, the home of her great-uncle Edmund Allerbrook. Though she enjoyed her visits here throughout her childhood, hearing tales from her great-uncle about his various adventures and discoveries, there still existed within her a great apprehension about the house itself.Being young and impressionable, Serena had always thought the house's many long hallways and dark corners had hidden something else beneath the surface. Something more… haunting. Of course these thoughts had always proven to be nothing more than elusive phantoms, figments of her overly-active imagination. She now finds herself back in Lemburg House, this time in the wake of her great-uncle's recent passing, and a guest for the weekend of the property's current inhabitant, her aunt Constance Allerbrook. With relations between herself and her aunt having been somewhat tenuous at the best of times, Serena finds herself exasperated at the fact that Constance is again holding one of her famous dinner parties, typically accompanied by some ridiculous new flight of fancy, a fad with which she has recently become obsessed. But when Serena discovers that what her aunt has planned for tonight's party trick is an attempt to contact the spirits of the dead using an old book that was until recently in the possession of her great-uncle Edmund, her irritation turns to genuine discomfort as she begins to fear that all the nightmares she'd had as a child about this place may just be about to come true.
