The Absence of Light

In the gentrifying streets of New York City there is no way out but down... Rez is a young writer living beneath the guillotine of an identity crisis. He is looking to solve the mystery of his jaded life before the blade drops. Clive and Lynk are thriving photographers in the field of ghost hunting. They are determined to prove that life after death truly exists, whatever the cost. They waste their nights sulking in damnation and kill their days wrapped up in creation.They are artists maddened by society.  Deep within the coal mining region of Pennsylvania music remains the only escape... Delilah is the lead singer of Electric Orchid and is searching for a quick way out of boondock torture so she can live her life's true mission: to discover her secret past. She is guided by the park temptations of dream, nightmare and self-mutilation, the only way to relieve the pain of never truly feel like she belonged. A contract is won and the band takes to the road for New York City,the place she was born.  When the two crews cross paths they discover that the answer to the past, present and future is closer than it appears.

About the Author

J. Daniel Stone is the pseudonym for a hotheaded Italian kid from NYC. He has been a menace to society since 1987 and has, at various times, prepared bodies for the morgue, broke up fights between gerbils and used fire to change the color of the carpet in his bedroom. These days he can be found terrorizing local book stores, art galleries and dive bars boasting about his two bastard children: The Absence of Light (2013) and Blood Kiss (2016). Somewhere, out there in the dark, one can find more of his illegitimate spawns telling imaginative stories from places like Grey Matter Press, Icarus: The Magazine of Gay Speculative Fiction, Blood Bound Books, Prime Books, Crowded Quarantine Publications and more.
