Sun Valley, Moon Mountains

All Jaq and Kate ever wanted is a normal, healthy baby. But fate has other plans for them. When their infant daughter dies after a catastrophic birth accident, they are understandably devastated. Hoping to start over, Jaq and Kate give up lucrative Wall Street careers and flee to the sanctuary of Sun Valley, Idaho. But the child they lost continues to haunt their souls. When Kate begins to hear soft cries coming from the baby monitor, she could never bear to part with, the sad couple realizes they are dealing with forces much deeper than simply the tragic death of their daughter. By now, they are starting to think of the lost child as “Ur,” a German prefix meaning original or primeval. A local priest delivers what at first seems an unbelievable message: Ur is being held captive in the land of Luna by the ancient Mesopotamian goddess Tiamat, and Kate and Jaq must rescue her. Desperate for answers and for closure, they embark on an epic quest that is sure to resonate with readers who enjoy the heroes of the Iliad and tales of the ancient gods of Sumer. Follow Kate and Jaq as they adopt and put into practice the ancient Greek philosophy of Stoicism, learning to replace their pain with power. Finally they must confront of the ultimate question that all parents must face: is their child theirs to rescue, or must they set her free to follow her own destiny? The first volume in the Ur Legend Trilogy, SUN VALLEY, MOON MOUNTAINS is a must-read for anyone who has suffered a great loss, especially of a child, and is looking for a different and ultimately liberating path in dealing with their grief.
