Young reporter Marlon Colt finds himself at the mercy of deranged old man Aaron Averack whilst on an assignment for the local newspaper at which he works.Averack has a tale to tell and not only is the tethered and tortured reporter forced to listen, he is becoming part of the macabre tale himself as he is drawn further and further in to the hideous world of a monster.Girlfriend Shannon at first believes Marlon has dumped her following an argument the night before he goes missing. However, it soon dawns on her that his disappearance makes no sense and she sets out on a mission to find him. Police, friends and family are not interested so, with no one else to turn to, she reaches out to her boss and mentor Alex Stephens. Unknown to Shannon, Alex is suffering a trial of his own. A mid-life crisis has sent him spiralling in to a world of depression and drink. Shannon is his only ray of light and the more she asks him for help the more he is drawn to her, until his obvious infatuation becomes closer to dangerous obsession.Taleteller is a macabre, psychological thriller that takes its reader into a world of torment and obsession, revenge and hatred, love and hope. ‘I am the Taleteller,’ Averack said, his eyes brimming with malevolence, ‘and my tale WILL be told.’
