The Decadent Taste of Human Suffering: A Novelette

Louis and his friends just killed a vampire. She didn’t burst into flames or crumble to ashes. She just gasped for air a few times, choked up some blood, and that was it. Louis would be lying if he said he wasn’t expecting something a bit more supernatural. In fact, aren’t vampires supposed to be dead already? Would they still bleed or gasp for air? And where are her fangs? Louis is definitely sure this girl should have fangs. Unless, of course, she isn’t a vampire. In which case, Louis and his friends just made a gigantic mistake.
