Audra Wheeler is a former FBI Agent turned small-town sheriff in a town where the living exist in relative harmony with ghosts. Her retirement from the FBI came on the heels of the paranormal murder and ghostly resurrection of her one true love, Ethan Cole. However, small-town life in this Mayberry/Sleepy Hollow is proving to be more of a sacrifice than she anticipated as being sheriff has turned out to be little more than playing “errand girl” to the Mayor and the feuding Town Council. To top it all off, her specter boyfriend has yet to learn how to touch her.Her only solace has been taking on the completion of a state-of-the-art in paranormal defense sheriff’s station, and her less and less platonic friendship with the contractor, Benjamin Rutherford. When a local specter, an eternally petulant teenager named Amanda Stuart, is found petrified on the grounds of the new sheriff’s station, an FBI team led by Assistant Director Blakely moves in on Audra’s territory. No longer able to see specters as a blanket threat to humanity as the FBI once trained her to do, Audra cannot sit idly by as A.D. Blakely makes moves to take over the sheriff’s station and ignores this new threat to the specters in her town, especially when that could mean losing the love of her life once and for all.
