Dead Meet

Joe Luna’s Memorial Day weekend takes a turn for the worst when he examines a brutalized, charred corpse at the posh Kingsley Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The murder victim is a woman. A vampire. Her remains are the grisliest Joe’s ever seen during his eight years as a part-time investigator for the Department of Justice. To top it off, there’s no apparent motive. No DNA left at the scene. No victim identity. Joe is a sorwolf who inherited his duel supernatural powers from his parents, a sorceress and a werewolf. Although he regards his birthright as a curse at times, his abilities have gotten him out of numerous tight spots. The murder victim’s sister, Lorelei, admits to Joe that she’s a vampire and has been sent to America to safeguard a centuries-old Transylvanian secret. But an ancient necromancer and a menacing shape-shifter are on a quest to obtain it, and they unleash their violent demon minions on Joe and Lorelei. With only the local ghosts’ club, the Ghoul Philosopher’s Society (GPS), a saucy female detective, and a deviously seductive vampire for allies, Joe faces an up-hill battle against his formidable opponents.
