"Lil's Spirits: This Side of the Veil" is a collection of stories about Lilith, an extra-Biblical character and her quest for vengeance since creation. Over the millennia since she stood on the precipice in "Out of Eden" and met Samael for the first time, Lilith has sought a way to corrupt mankind and get back at God for cursing her with immortality. In the modern day, she targets her prey around the world from her innocuous liquor store on a lonely mountain pass in Appalachia. Sometimes the prey come to her like a fly to a spider’s web like when Loerac walks right into her lair in "The Knockl" or Mason and his band of thieves try to rob Lilith’s store in "Limbo." But mostly, Lilith is calculating and strategic about her victims like when she sets her sights on Jacob and Sarah in "A Place of Rest," the primary story of this anthology.
