It’s only a bad dream. It can’t hurt you. But that’s not true for Landon Brary. For as long as he can remember, Landon has suffered from a terrifying nightmare. A nightmare so real it feels more like a memory than a bad dream. That’s because it is. When Landon was just a baby, his Dreamer Simon Hush broke one of the most important rules of being an imaginary friend. In doing so, he accidentally brought a Nightmare into our world and into Landon's room. The terrible events of that night left Simon an outcast and still haunt Landon's dreams. Eleven years have passed and the Brary family has moved to the beautiful mountainous city of Colorado Springs. As Landon navigates his way through the rigors of a new school, dealing with the new neighborhood bully, and keeping up with his new friends, he quickly discovers that something dark and malevolent has been violently taking children in the middle of the night. It isn't until it comes after him and his friends that Landon begins to realize his Nightmare is far more real than he ever imagined.
