Unholy Water

Ricky Lambert is approaching forty. However, it is not the onset of a midlife crisis that has him reflecting on the abandoned dreams of a younger man, but the alcohol upon which Ricky has become hopelessly reliant. What little he has acquired in life has been lost to the bottle, his only notable talent being his ability to find and catch fish. It is his extensive knowledge of the nearby lake that draws him into the services of Dorothy Scrimm in the search for her missing child. While investigating the reservoir, the pair becomes aware of a terrifying presence haunting its dark waters.UNHOLY WATER is a horror novel about a man forced to combat his addiction and a supernatural monstrosity in the local lake, both of which he seems ill-equipped to contend with. Set in the impoverished Appalachian community of Morningside, the forces of poverty, addiction and abuse are the trinity that govern the lives of the town’s residents. The story is an examination of the cyclical experiences of people trapped in prisons of their own construct, as well as those who find themselves caged through no fault of their own.
