Blog for The Man Who Tried Again When Dr. Samuel Sheridan finds himself inexplicably drawn to a medical position in the new town of Rubourne, it is against his wife Jenny’s wishes. Moving his family, a small boy and a girl there, Samuel finds himself dealing with an unidentified virus which is affecting the village children. Tension ensues with Jenny’s discontent growing, especially when the beautiful Nina sets her sights on Samuel. Close to the old mediaeval church, Samuel experiences ‘sightings,’ of a monk. Sessions of regression show Samuel to be that monk, who felt child deaths at that time were his fault, and asks God for a second chance. Samuel is desperate to succeed this time, especially when his small son falls victim to the virus..
