The Churchwarden and the Haunting of Elsa Gray

The Churchwarden and the Haunting of Elsa Gray

This book is a sequel to The Churchwarden’s Dog, but it is also a stand alone story. It does, however, bring back some of the main characters using their skills with a new mystery to solve. Once again it is set in a small Derbyshire Peak District market town. Whilst this story is about a ghost it is not really a ‘scary ghost story’. Elsa Gray was a young teenager brutally murdered in 1987. For some inexplicable reason her ghost starts to re-appear in the cemetery where she was buried. The church is asked to take an interest and an investigation starts as to why she should appear after so many years. The investigation naturally revolves around her unsolved murder and as the mystery about her death and the people involved unravels the pace of the story quickens to its final conclusion.
