Talon: A Sense of Familiarity

City Morgue nightshift desk clerk, Bryce Briscoe is pregnant by her Medical Examiner/grim reaper fiancé. She has moved into his house and their volatile relationship is leveling out as she learns her role as his portal, his lover and the soon-to-be mother of his son. Demons from other realms continue to plague the couple who remain shut out of Heaven, where Bryce remains a hot topic of debate in the Heavenly Council because she is not just any mere portal. Meanwhile, Talon encourages Bryce to mend her relationship with her family. On a romantic birthday getaway, a rogue reaper infects Bryce with a toxin that will compel her to murder Talon at some unknown future time. An old friend returns to earth to aid Talon in trying to find an antidote, and another friend sacrifices himself to help Talon locate Bryce when she is taken by a powerful demon who wants him dead. Not too long afterwards, Talon's son makes a surprise arrival in City Morgue, and Bryce must finally set a wedding date. Life will never be easy for the reaper and his chosen portal, but they share a powerful passion for one another that continues to rock Heaven and Earth and all the realms between.
