If you don’t believe in the presence of guardian angels then this story justmight change your way of thinking. “Watching Over My-Girl” chronicles the life of an avid equestrian as seen through the eyes of her first horse, and revolves around actual events and experiences. Th e story tells of the bond between the author and “Amber,” an orphaned foal that was rescued during a bitter snow storm by Ms. Porter when a young girl.the pair would grow up together and seldom be separated over the course of twenty some years. The beloved horse passes away but years later returns to earth and rejoins her mistress. Unsure of herself “Amber” questions the reason for her return and struggles with the limitations of her new ethereal existence. Once accepting of what she can and can’t do she learns to appreciate her newlyacquired abilities and concentrates on her responsibilities. Diligently she“watches over” her former mistress and finds that protecting an extremelyactive, hard headed, and adventurous individual can be quite a challenge,even for an angel.
