For Seth and his band of outlaws, this was supposed to be just another job. Together with his fellow Reds, he was supposed to attack a convoy and retrieve a certain piece of cargo. But as it turns out, inside that cargo was a powerful amulet, and the Mage who commissioned the hit is ready to do anything to get his hands on it.During the exchange with the Mage, tempers flare and every Red is disposed of, until only Seth remains, hidden in the shadows with the amulet.Raging, after seeing his friends get murdered, the silent assassin chooses his moment to strike. But even with the advantage of surprise, the rogue is no match for such a skilled adversary. Soon, Seth is mortally wounded, and his last action is to smash the amulet to spite the Mage. But when the charm shatters, it releases a blast of energy that leaks into Seth as he draws his last breath.Next thing he knows, the rogue wakes up as a ghostly figure with strange numbers and words hovering in front of his eyes, one of them informing him that he’s now a Level 1 Ghost and a Level 1 Assassin.He finds out he can become solid again and interact with the world, but there's a price to pay. Every action he takes draws from something called Crystal Points and makes him increasingly weaker.To stay alive, he needs to find and consume strange crystals. And it would seem those same white crystals are also the way for him to gain new abilities that make him more powerful. And he’ll need all the help he can get to fulfill his mission: find out who else is responsible for the death of his comrades, and make them wish they had never seen the light of day.But first, as every good adventure, it begins with a simple quest: learn what happened to him when the amulet broke, what he’s become... and the true extent of his new powers.And so begins the story of the Ghost Assassin.Disclaimer: this is dark fantasy with a ruthless main character. Don’t expect a chivalrous gentleman who’ll fly to the rescue of the damsel in distress. No, Seth is not a good man, never has been. His only loyalty was to his comrades, and now that they’re dead, the path ahead is paved with nothing but destruction and death.
