A chemical spill at a mysterious plant in Erie, Pennsylvania, spawns an outbreak of cannibalistic living corpses, and they do what zombies do—they head for the nearest shopping mall. But it’s Christmas Eve, and the ravenous dead find themselves in a crowd of last-minute shoppers. Soon a handful of survivors have taken shelter in a tiny glass booth at the center of the mall, where they try to find a way out of the holiday horror. M.V. Moorhead’s novel offers all the gut-ripping, bone-crunching action and chills that zombie fans demand, as well as a vision of the dark side of that most wonderful time of the year.
