Caedistowe only appears on one map. It lies tucked away from any main roads, cut off from the rest of the country by winding lanes and acres of thick forest. Visitors stumble upon it by accident, looking for one of the larger towns either side. It also happens to be the town where I grew up. We moved away when I was young, but recently I’ve found my mind returning there more and more. Looking back as an adult, I recognise unusual things that meant nothing to me as a child. Like the way you can never see your reflection in the fountain in the square, no matter how hard you look. Or the way hours, minutes and days blend and stretch until time means nothing at all.These are the stories of people touched by Caedistowe, the horrors they witnessed, and how they joined the pulse of the wheel below.
