This book takes place in a world not too dissimilar from our own. It is a place where everything can and does go bump in the night. It is a world that has been inspired by pen and paper role-playing games, television shows (both old and new) that delve into the supernatural realms, and by the imagination of the author’s children. The story is told from the perspective of a mentally unstable magic user and three other individuals: a young woman with no memory and a history of violence, a genius 15 year old girl who is addicted to pain medication, and a young man who is teetering on the edge of the paranormal.
