I have selected for you a trio of tiny tales in that time honored tradition of Maid-Mother-Crone. This is not a typical Maid-Mother-Crone cycle of stories. In each case I reached for a real twist on the original form. In my challenge for the Maid tale, I reached into my guts and came up with the scariest scenario I could find. I hope you find yourself chilled!The main character in my Mother story would appear to be the Solstice Prince. But, again, things are not what they seem. As we celebrate the height of summer, we must ask ourselves about the nature of power, and of triumph.Almost none of my crone friends have charming little cottages in the woods. It is the nature of our time that magical women will grow old in very modern, almost artificial, environments. But magic endures, and old women, for all of their vulnerability, have the unique power of age and experience. Do not underestimate them!I hope that you enjoy my stories. I enjoy being the storyteller.
