Elizabeth and Jared are two lost souls, struggling to survive in a world that hates and fears them. They are creatures of the night, forever doomed by their terrible hunger. In an attempt to avoid detection, they have been hiding in a largely uninhabited rural area, but starvation threatens to end their existence as surely as would any attack by the living. Blood fueled by passion is the only way to truly satiate their hunger, and in order to feed, they must go to where their prey lives. They resolve to travel to a nearby city. There, food will be plentiful, but so will danger. Where can they hide in such a place, surrounded by that which they both crave and fear?
