Crazy Magic (Girl Magic)

The demon princes of Tarturus are determined to kill or capture Janie. She is attacked by hellhounds, harpies, the Kampe guardian of the entrance to Tarturus, and worse. Then her talk with granny Lucille’s ghost reveals a new threat. Janie discovers media mogul Derek Lunessee is planing to dig up her granny’s grave, for leverage aimed at forcing her into being the host of a magic fight game show. She heads for Lunessee’s office in New York City, determined to stop his disturbance of granny’s grave. And put an end to his media demands. But Janie discovers that having many layers of golden magic does not guarantee a safer life. Far too soon her Café Tribal friends, her college squad buds and her lover Priya will all pay a price for being part of Janie’s life.

From the Inside Flap

This is a 90,000 word women's urban fantasy novel. Janie Wilmott's struggle to survive repeated attacks by the five demon princes of Tarturus puts her into greater danger than ever before. The princes send harpies, the Kampe guardian of Tarturus, and 40 hellhounds to kill Janie. While she fights off nearly all attacks, she is bitten by a hellhound. Its drool poison is unique. The poison gets stronger in a witch with magic powers. The stronger the powers, the more deadly the poison. Janie's inner core magic cannot defeat the poison. She is near death. Then her vampire cafe friend Jozsef shows up and helps her heal. Her weekend grows stranger as she is called to a meeting with the vampire Master of Boulder, then discovers media mogul Derek Lunessee aims to dig up her granny's grave and hold her bones as leverage to force Janie to be his new reality show star. Life becomes crazier as Janie juggles full-time work at the Cafe Tribal, full-time college study and a wondrous romance with her squad bud Priya. Whose past holds a few surprises. When Janie is called to evict a giant troll from a Rocky Mountains pass, she discovers a new kind of magic. Then the Supers Council demands Janie speak before the United Nations. Her hope for a 'normal' life, a life where she is not a world-famous TV and vid blogger star, seems hopeless. Until the three Furies show up at the cafe. They offer her a unique life choice. A choice that will change most everything.

About the Author

T. Jackson King (Tom) is an Amazon bestselling science fiction and urban fantasy author. He is a lifelong reader of SciFi/Fantasy stories and his favorite authors have included Darynda Jones, BR Kingsolver, K.F.Breene, Martha Carr, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Arthur C.Clarke, Andre Norton, J. K. Rowling, Ann Christy, Lois McMaster Bujold and Ursula LeGuin. Outside of fantasy and science fiction he has enjoyed the novels of Rudyard Kipling, Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe and Arthur Conan Doyle, and the urban fantasy crime mysteries of Darynda Jones.Tom began writing SF novels at age 38, when he discovered he had read all the Human-Alien first contact or encounter novels in his local library. So he decided to write his own, thanks to an overactive, very visual imagination. Those early years produced FIRST CONTACT and RETREAD SHOP. When the New York City publishing houses ignored his later novels because they had no Hollywood tie-in, he went to several small presses, then began self-publishing as an Indy author in 2011. He loves that readers in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia are some of his most loyal readers! Before becoming a bestselling author, Tom worked in a radiocarbon lab at UC Riverside and earned an MA degree in Archaeology from UCLA. His interests in ancient history, ancient cultures and journalism got him several government agency jobs that led him to roam the raw landscape of the Western United States where he worked as a federal archaeologist and newspaper journalist. Tom lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA and hangs with a group of smart and tolerant Westerners. Divorce taught him to smile a lot and to work at being a Nice Guy. Which earned him the love of his wife Sue. Still, he is pretty weird. Has been since fourth grade when he began reading SciFi. Since then, he and Authority have rarely been in agreement.
