Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque is a selection of 26 short horror and satirical stories, first published in 1840 in Philadelphia. Some of Edgar Allan Poe’s most well-known tales, such as The Fall of the House of Usher and Ligeia are included in this publication which Poe originally -edited himself. Met with mixed reviews at the time, it has gained greater popularity and is held in high regard by Poe’s fans. This edition includes hand-drawn illustrations.
