Can there be a conspiracy of Gods and Minds? From the corners of their eyes both saw the ornate dagger on the ground. It was barely an arm’s length away. The boy knows it is there. For a span of heartbeats they both stare at the dagger, then the boy springs to life and crawls furiously across the dirt and reached it first. With a shriek he plunges the rusted blade into the young officer’s wrist sending blood squirting onto the sand. “God is great” he shouted in Arabic. A self-satisfied grin painted the boy’s face.
