After Nyx Morrison wakes up, badly injured in a remote and isolated area in Colorado after being abducted, her world changes dramatically. She is rescued by a group of angels and learns she has special abilities that could be key in the on-going spiritual war between demons and angels. She rejects the notion and finds herself a target as she tries to return to her normal existence. Those around her think she is suffering from mental health issues and offer her no real support for her traumatic experience. She begins to question her own sanity as the evil around her becomes more consuming. Thus begins her darkest journey.
