When a small government jet crashes in the midst of the biggest parade the Midwest has ever seen with only one civilian death, the people of Kansas City believe their luck cannot get any better. All of their sports teams are winning and Marijuana is only a few days from legal—the party must continue. But when the lone civilian crash victim rises with a blank stare and a ravenous hunger for flesh, the dazed partiers nearby find themselves in a desperate fight for their lives. It quickly becomes apparent that a virus has been loosed upon the city and the number of Infected begins to rise exponentially. As chaos descends upon an unsuspecting city buried in the stupor of a week-long party fueled by alcohol and soon-to-be legal recreational pharmaceuticals, one group of friends will fight to find each other. With the aid of the lone surviving doctor from the crashed jet, a Renaissance Festival blacksmith, and a reclusive genius inventor, Calvin Hobbes and his friends must use everything they have ever learned from years of zombie movie marathons and video gaming to save their friends and family and survive the apocalypse. With the clock ticking and a one-hundred-and-twenty foot wall being erected around the region, the group of friends knows they must escape to someplace safe and find a cure for the viral infection before the government fire-bombs their beloved town into oblivion.
