More Murmurs In The Night

Where does terror begin?A clothesline at night, warm bath, doctor’s waiting room, antique bed, peaceful office, hospital bed, cab in a storm? But wait… a figure among the washing, unexpected noise downstairs, creepy doctor, a bed growing bigger, workers suddenly becoming agitated, surprise superpower, an ever-smiling driver, grin, grin, grin. From all these and more Les Pobjie’s fertile imagination turns the everyday world into a frightening one where few would want to live – or die.

About the Author

I am a newspaper journalist in Sydney, Australia. Away from my day job as a sub-editor, I read a lot and write a bit less than I intend, often being distracted by attention-seeking laptop and iPad. I have wide interests, from ancient history to quantum physics, from photography to cooking. And travel. While Sydney can be a sunny, comfortable place to live, I spend a fair bit of time in a darker, less comfortable place - my mind - where all sorts of strange things occur.
