Gone astray in a netherworld, a stark reality awaits. Wanting to leave his troubles behind, Sam Hunt leaves the Louisiana bayou and moves back to his old hometown in New Mexico. Only during his move, Hunt meets Sera, an unusual woman, beguiling and unreal, with abilities far beyond human. Sera casts a spell on Hunt, but Hunt has also been cursed by Lina, a woman he met only once long ago. Hunt chauffeurs Sera into an alternate reality that should not exist. Hunt’s entire world is suspect, as he transports the Dark Queen, Sera, deep into the unknown. Visions unreel of Hunt’s sovereignty as the ruler of the Kingdom of Grim Gray. However, Hunt’s imaginings are only a trap to imprison him further into an artificial reality. In the end, an epiphany. Sam Hunt recalls his God-given duty living outside the edicts of time. Hunt embraces his fate, but his imaginings are short lived. Hunt’s destiny is questionable. Reality unravels. Hunt’s newfound certainty transforms into a strange realm far beyond comprehension.
