This is the legend of Violetta, a young, wandering gypsy and her family, who stopped in a small village, high in the Carpathian Mountains, in Romania, over 500 years ago. The family moves on, leaving Violetta in the protection of four small wooden sculptures of werewolves. The village was very peaceful and the villagers enjoyed life to the fullest, treasuring each day as a gift from Heaven, but a chance encounter with Violetta and an old man suspiciously dies. The villagers scream that the old man’s death is the result of a curse, a curse placed by Violetta. Violetta is branded a witch and chained to her house. As the villagers place burning torches at Violetta's feet, she calmly declares, as she looks at the wooden statues of her beloved werewolves, "I curse you for all eternity. My protectors will feed upon you, your children, their children, until time is no more…..Darkness will be the curse……The curse will never grow old and it will never die.” Now, it is 2018, and the curse is about to be renewed.
