Just hates it when women get hurt. Even if the woman is a pill, a very confusing pill. The most important man in all of Djinndom had been almost killed and his residence robbed of some of Djinndom's most important documents. Books and scrolls dealing with spells. Not how to cast them, but how to construct them. The art of creating new and powerful spells had left along with the second gods. Which was why Supple was the most important man – he alone held the secret. It was also why the books and scrolls were so important – they had been written by him. Not only was Supple an important man to Djinndom, he was important to Just. One of his best friends, in fact. He was also a dear friend to the pill, Sala. The youngest and probably most powerful of all the djinns, she looked like a girl of sixteen and most of the time she acted like one. Just's problem was that she wanted in on dealing with those who had beaten her beloved 'uncle' and Just didn't like working with amateurs. At first, no one could figure out how it had happened. Djinndom, through The Union, had been very careful to guard Supple's identity. He wasn't just the most knowledgeable of the creators of spells, he had made the Three Pillars possible – the spells that had created Djinndom in the first place. He had also been instrumental in shoring up the Laws the second gods had placed on the djinns. That was why his identity had been safeguarded. See, the Laws of the second gods were – sloppy. Magic is all about the word, not the intent, and the words of the Laws were not very well constructed. Gods they may have been, but the second gods weren't all that bright. So, Supple had helped The Union craft the Rules. Supplements that all djinns had to live by as well. Problem was, there were djinns that didn't want to, and they set about trying to tear down those Rules and The Union along with them. They were trying to twist the intent of the second gods' Laws. That kind of thing concerns Just. He's an agent for the DTA – Djinn Terminal Affairs. It's his job to make sure the gods intent is followed as well as the letter of the Laws and Rules. Unfortunately, there were those within his own ranks who weren't content with the regulations, if not the Rules. Especially one. But, everyone can learn. Whether it's the one inside the ranks, Just dealing with the pill or DTA in keeping Djinndom's PR copacetic with the outside world. And it was time for Just and the DTA to learn that there were those who were going to become very long-term problems for The Union. Those who's intent was very much contra to that of the second gods. All battles have a beginning and sometimes that beginning starts with someone who isn't even a combatant.
