During the harsh winters of the 19th Century in England, the church of Nottingham hires a bounty hunter named Darius Thorn to hunt down a creature that seems to be behind a series of horrible and atrocious murders in the city. The hunter calls this creature a wraith; a mythological monster with a strong resemblance to the Grim Reaper of horror fairy tales. Upon arriving at Nottingham, it is revealed that Darius has a personal grudge against this monster and therefore starts a quest of trying to find it. A journey that will take him through several places in Europe and America only to find twist after twist, shocking revelations and a loathsome truth during the dark, gothic times of the Victorian Era.
