The Devil's Upon My Skin (Anno Contendo)

The world of man has fallen and the forces of darkness have risen to claim humanity's home as their own. Judgement Day came and went with the eclipse of our life giving sun. Now the human race must rally to prove their worth to an Almighty creator who has seen man stray from what they should have become. The selfless sacrifice of a dozen of the creators finest angels prevented the annihilation of mankind by the insidious devils that had risen from their fiery prison. The dozen angels were given control of this plain of existence and told to re-energise what faith remained in the ruins of civilizations that once flourished. The Lord Almighty will one day revisit his creation and decide if humanity had shown enough to deem them worthy inhabitants of this failed Eden. Fate has provided the forces of light with a hero who possess great power but is also afflicted with a darkness that rots his mortal soul with every passing day. Powered by the dark energy of the devils that use his body as an eternal prison, the warrior with the devils upon his skin could offer the last traces of hope to a tired and embattled human race.
