One man's struggle for loss of control turned him to look for help in the wrong places. That book was one of those places. The man unwittingly unleashes a danger upon his family. Instead of protecting, and keeping an eye on the family, this force is set to destroy them. Eventually, the man and his twelve-year old son stop this force--only to have it return more than twenty years later. Now, the son is himself divorced, and feeling the downward slide of a life slipping away from him. He is faced with the concern that he is too tired, and the father too weak to face this past enemy of theirs--especially that there is more on the line this time around. Both father and son have to find a way to win what seems to be a hopeless challenge. And what makes it even worse is that they are going to need each other to do it.
