You thought you were safe. In 1888, five women were murdered in Whitechapel, England. The killer was never identified, known only by the name Jack the Ripper. But such a crime couldn’t happen today, not with DNA. Or could it? Three thousand miles away, in the city of Duluth, Minnesota, women are being slaughtered in a manner identical to the ripper killings. However, there’s one problem. The ripper has been dead for over a hundred years. Frank Johnson is about to discover that sometimes the dead don’t stay in the ground, and they have only one set of rules that they follow—their own.
