Eve is a successful actress, hit hard by the untimely death of her husband, Carl, due to cancer. Grief-stricken, she carries on, harbouring vivid images and memories of their life together and the words he used to say to her. Sometimes imagination and reality are difficult to separate. But a major acting challenge throws Eve into chaos - she can't hack it any more, but she does not know why. Try as she might, the old flame won't come back and she is faced with being written out of all future performances. Her memories come to the rescue once more and her acting performance is transformed, to the astonishment of all those close to her. But in the throes of success, she is suddenly transported to a whole new world of terror.
