Dangerous Kisses, Gruesome Bites: A Wild West Horror Romance

Sheriff Bill is horrified when he finds a viciously mangled corpse just outside town limits. Jane is busy keeping her students calm while hysterical rumors blow through Morely like tumbleweed. The local tribe claims the dead are being possessed by cannibalistic demons called Wendigos. Calvin is skeptical until a Wendigo tries to eat his brother. Then it’s not just a myth anymore. The whole town begins to panic. Calvin and Jane desperately try to find a solution together. Townspeople fall prey to deadly bites, jealousy and fear. The inconvenient passion between Calvin and Jane could prove just as dangerous as her husband’s drinking sprees. Shots are fired, friendships are shattered and love is found. As the danger comes closer, the townsfolk need to band together for their survival. Or are they already doomed?

From the Back Cover

The sleepy town of Morley, Colorado Territory gets more than its share of strange occurrences. A body is found viciously torn to pieces. The confusion deepens when the sheriff's son and the schoolteacher's daughter are attacked by a dead, yet not dead, woman. Only Calvin Drake offers an explanation gleaned from a warning by his Native trading partners. They warn him that Wendigos, spirit demons that possess corpses and crave living flesh, have invaded. In addition to cannibalistic corpses, Calvin's mind has been straying to other things, like sweet Jane Lansing. Unfortunately, the schoolteacher is too busy dodging her husband's angry fists to noticed Calvin's shy interest. Jane's attention is further diverted when her best friend, innkeeper Lucy Rodgers, suffers a horrific tragedy.Between invasions from the wendigos, an attack by outlaws, a bizarre hanging, backstabbing, a New York reporter documenting it all and several blossoming romances, the isolated village of Morley has become far from sleepy. Can the townsfolk put their different situations and simmering passions on hold long enough to band together to fight off the approaching peril? Or are they already doomed?
