The House on the Road to Hell It was a pandemic that no one could have ever expected. With in a few months after it made its first appearance, most of humanity had been destroyed and civilization became a distant memory. The living that still remained had lost everything. They were reduced to scavenging through what little they could find in the land of the dead. Mick Taylor was one of the living that had somehow survived the initial onslaught of the dead. Mick had to risk his life every day just to find something to eat as he dodged the dead that hunted the living. One day while traveling through the countryside in an area where he had never been before, just trying to find a place where he could stop running and rest for a few days, Mick saw a house sitting up on the hillside. He was surprised to see the house but was even more surprised to see someone waving for him to come up to the house. Mick, exhausted from his travels, cautiously accepted the invitation. He soon found himself with five other people, who like himself had been searching for a safe place to stay. The house offered everything they had all been searching for. The seemingly impenetrable mansion offered a safe-haven from the dead. The others at the house offered the opportunity for much needed human companionship. Soon many found themselves daring to think again about the future. But in the world of the dead, things were not always what they first appeared to be and their plans didn’t always turn out like they had hoped.
