The Lair of the White Worm

The Lair of the White Worm

The Lair of the White Worm is yet another terrifying novel from Bram Stoker. From the mind of the genius that created the spine-chilling horror classic Dracula, comes this tale of another monster, no less deadly and even more terrifying. In the same way that Dracula was based on legends and folklore from eastern Europe, The Lair of the White Worm is based on the English legend of the Lambton Worm, an evil dragon-like snake that terrorises local villagers. The Lair of the White Worm was originally published in 1911. It was later re-issued in an abridged format in 1925 with 28 rather than 40 chapters and 100 less pages. It is from this more popular abridged issue that that this book is taken. This version additionally includes an introduction with author biography.
