Akataka

Akataka is a spirit of death inhabiting a certain island. Several years ago an evil pronouncement was made against the inhabitants of the said island. The habitation was going to be made desolate. Later a war took place. All its inhabitants fled. Surprisingly, one woman, an ageless woman, who believably could be regarded as a witch still lived in the island. This woman's existence appeared to be a thrilling experience for Akataka who also wished to take away her life. Excuses and excuses proceeded from her lips why she would not want to die. Unfortunately, whoever the spirit of Akataka sent to the island would definitely die in her place.

About the Author

Onyeka Chidebelu is the fifth child and last son of his parents, Joseph and Eveleen, in a family of five boys and a girl. He was born on 20th of April, 1976 in his native town, Abagana located in Anambra State, Nigeria, West Africa. His childhood education ended in 1988, having been a pupil in Udoeke Primary School, Abagana and University Staff School of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He finished his secondary school education before 1993 at Nsukka High School, Nsukka, and by 1994, he was an undergraduate in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, from where he obtained a degree certificate in Computer Science. Throughout the years he has worked in some dioceses of the Anglican Church. He also took part in the youth program of his country, National Youth Service Corps. He has been teaching numerate skills in senior secondary school and high institution in Lagos for some time. He enjoys reading virtually every printed item. He has been writing poems, though at present he seems to want to write books in virtually all the genres. He enjoys sports, but as a mere spectator, especially soccer. He enjoys music and sings too. He is single, living in Lagos at present.
