Alexis Lovingston is special, with a gift that may also be considered a curse. She can communicate with spirits, who seek her out because of her "gift". Living in Las Vegas, Lexi wants to get away so badly. She wants to leave a life of ridicule and relentless torment from her fellow students, not to mention her family that thinks she may be completely crazy. She's a loner, so keeping her grades up is all she has going for her. She gets into a great school in Williamsburg, Virginia where she hopes to leave the ghosts of her past...in the past. Then she meets Austin Turner. He's a local, extremely gorgeous, and has suffered a painful loss that he can't help but blame himself for. Losing a loved one is continually on his mind and something he can't get over. Lexi and Austin meet at college, and have an instant connection. That's when it starts again. A spirit shows up, making her presence known to only Lexi. What does this ghost girl have to do with her and why does she need help? What could Lexi possibly do? Another girl goes missing. No witnesses, no leads, nothing. Lexi gets mixed up into a terror which she wants no part of. Only now, she's not given the choice. Her world turns upside down and there seems like there's no where to turn. No one would believe her anyway. It's only seen through her eyes.
