Little Lucy (The Red Wolf Series Book 1)

Do werewolves have nightmares? They do now. Lucy Collins is a lonely but fearless ten year old with some very unusual abilities. Her beloved adoptive sister Claire is all she has left in the world. But with Claire away at college, she struggles for a sense of belonging. A weekend with Claire and her friends begins with the companionship the little girl has longed for but quickly becomes a nightmare when they are attacked by a clan of lycanthrope. In her fury, Lucy begins to discover her true nature and it may be the beasts with the most to fear... If you liked the Twilight Series, you'll love the Red Wolf Saga! Based on an Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition Semi-Finalist Screenplay. Also a Dark Hero Studios Horror Screenplay Contest Semi-Finalist. (Among the last 10 screenplays out of the original 700.) From the Judges: "A more than unusual werewolf script. This is not what I was expecting when I saw the title of the script, the story is fun and engaging, and would definitely get audiences talking"..."Moves along at a great pace. I can’t think of anything that I would suggest taking out of the script, everything feels in the right place. Things start to turn bloody in an unexpected but darkly entertaining way"..."Not the normal structure but nice and sneakily done. We know the setup is a setup. So when the expected things don’t happen, like Lucy being attacked on her walk to the university at night, we relax, we accept that it’s weird, but we relax. The inciting incident is also quiet, almost hidden, yet done in plain sight: all the campers turn off their cell phones. This sort of quiet action builds the story to a breaking point when we finally hear the truth of Lucy’s identity; which we have already figure out but it works because what we have figured out is only part of the truth. The ending is heartrending and happy all at the same time; again not something you expect from a slasher film. Quite extraordinary"... Little Lucy holds its own against some of the best material in the horror genre including, Underworld, Twilight, Interview With The Vampire, Ginger Snaps, The Wolfman, Sharp Teeth, The Wolf's Hour, Pride Mates, The Werewolf of Paris and An American Werewolf in London. If you love a good scare, a cleverly crafted story and a unique take of the traditional werewolf genre, you will love Little Lucy!
