It is the late 1970s in India. A newly married young woman is travelling across the country for the first time. Alone. She reaches her destination in North Eastern India, only to find herself stranded at the railway station due to bad weather. Fortunately, she is led to a hotel by a kindly gentleman. She is relieved to be out of the pouring rain, to have found a shelter from the storm, but what was supposed to be a refuge turned out to be something quite different!
