Penny is an ordinary woman trying to make it in the world. Life led her right into a rut, working the world’s most depressing job -- Insurance Claim’s Adjuster for the soulless Maycon corporation. If the terrible career weren’t enough, her pen-pal Raul is the closest thing to a date she’s had in years. Her mother has been pushing her hard to try and meet somebody. Penny’s desire for a romantic partner isn’t enough to combat her introverted nature and disdain for modern online dating apps. She longs for the kind of traditional romance that borderlines cliché. Late one Friday night at home after a few drinks, her roommate Sam suggests they try using a spirit board for matchmaking assistance – a half-serious idea that seemed like it might solve their boredom, if not Penny’s romantic problems. What starts out as innocent fun, ends with serious consequences. The two friends attract the attention of something unnatural. The entity pushes Penny to the edge, threatening her job and her relationships. With her life and possibly her soul on the line, Penny and her friends must find a way to stop what’s happening.
