An old-fashioned horror story in the tradition of Frankenstein, Our Lady of the Flies tells the story of a no longer young woman who discovers, after the death of her father, that he was a monster intent on destroying humanity - and that he intended to use her, his only daughter, as the means of his destruction. Initially Elizabeth is appalled. But little by little she comes to realize that as well as cursing her, he has left her his power. And she, who is not her father's daughter for nothing, also comes to realize that she might enjoy having this power, using it - or misusing it... But there are those who would help Elizabeth, in one way or another. And so begins a battle to save her soul, if not her body; and at the same time, perhaps, to save the world.
