Rook is a quiet man hiding from a dark past. Due to traumatic events in his childhood, he has the ability to control his dreams and hide within himself. He lives in an isolated cabin in the forests of Southern Oregon. On a hike through the woods, he stumbles upon a grisly scene and finds the mysterious carving of an Obsidian Wolf. He is quickly influenced by the evil within the obsidian carving and his dreams are visited by a dark entity that tries to dig up his past. At first he dismisses the entity as a product of his imagination. As time goes by, the entity inside him grows and makes him increasingly aggressive. The police warn him of a brutal murder, a missing hiker, and a killer roaming the woods near his cabin. While Rook becomes closer than ever to his friends and explores a blossoming romance, the death toll rises. Compelled by the carving and the frightening events unfolding, Rook seeks advice from a native Shasta Indian who immediately recognizes the evil artifact. What is the secret of the Obsidian Wolf and what has been unleashed?
