Janie Doe, a twelve-year-old female amnesiac, and savant has fled Chicago. She is on the road looking for her family on her own, dodging the authorities and Pinko Boyd along the way. Boyd, a drug lord, has dispatched hit men to do her in. Janie winds up in St. Louis and encounters some colorful and not always scrupulous people. She meets a recovered alcoholic named Ludwig Krotz who is to aid her efforts. She decides to follow an old highway to find her father, but before she can, she must deal with the hit men, the law, and a vile plot by her stepmother. This is another action-packed story that is intense, and with a spiritual overtone. This is volume two in a series of seven. Come along on Janie's journey as she deals with outrageous problems and visions she doesn't understand. This is a normal print edition.
