Sword of Destiny (The Young Merlin series Book 1)

This book is the first in a series that involves the youthful Merlin on the planet Xann where he meets Asgard, the Keeper of The Universe. In exchange for his help he will have possession of the sword Excalibur and join the crew of the spaceship Endeavour to combat evil in the Known Universe. As part of Asgard's team Merlin will have seven lives and (potentially) seven gruesome deaths. This leads to many dangerous missions including one to the planet Earth and in particular to castle Camelot.

About the Author

Jane Watkins lives in deepest Andalucia in the South of Spain and would like to visit many of the countries she has seen on television. In her mind she frequently travels to other planets and would like to do this in real life (if she could get there and back in time for tea). Also she would like to find one that is beautiful and hospitable with a tapas bar, lively dance music and perhaps a dance floor. So if you discover that one exists somewhere could you please let her know - she might risk 'helmet hair' to go and check it out.
