About the Author

Jan is a widow who lives quietly just outside Manchester, her husband John was a local to that area. He was a victim of lung cancer. Her youngest daughter, Kaye, who is a gifted crafter and jewellery maker lives with her and the two enjoy crafting together. Jan graduated from King's College Aberdeen with an M.A. in English and History. She is a native of that city and has always loved writing. She is already a published poet and The Children With The Sky In Their Eyes is her first book in a fantasy trilogy. She is currently working on the sequels The Lightning Struck and The Rise of The Violet Sorcerers. She was a teacher and the saying goes "them that can't do teach" she is hoping to be the exception to that rule. She has a wicked sense of humor and is always saying her ancestors were wild Picts who painted themselves blue and ate Roman Legions for breakfast.
