About the Author

John M. Whalen is the author of Vampire Siege at Rio Muerto, the full-length novel featuring Monster Hunter Mordecai Slate that was published by Flying W Press, first as an e-book in 2012 and then as a paperback in 2013. Both are available from Amazon.com. Jack Brand, a spacewestern novel was published by Pill Hill Press in 2010. He's also written dozens of science fiction, sword and sorcery, and horror short stories that have been published on line and in print. Whalen has also contributed to various anthologies including the forthcoming Reconstructing the Monster, and The Ghost Papers from Emby Press. Whalen, a former Washington, D.C. journalist also wrote reviews and feature articles for The Washington Post and The Washington Times.
